Finom, an Amsterdam, The Netherlands-based provider of a financial management platform for SMEs and freelancers, acquired Kapaga, a London, UK-based provider of payment service facilitating international trade for SMEs.
The amount of the deal was not discloded.
With the acquisition, Finom will consolidate its position as a financial services provider for SMEs, and bolster its expansion plans in the UK and across the continent.
Founded by Katya Dorofejeva (CEO), Kapaga offers a payment service providing tailored business-accounts to SMEs in the UK, simplifying complex corporate structures, consolidating accounts into one multi-banking platform, providing competitive FX rates and dedicated account management. The company’s cloud architecture offers companies transparency in streamlining cross-border payments, allowing them to send and bill money to 190+ countries in numerous currencies via a single and secure application process.
Led by CEO Kos Stiskin, Finom provides a financial platform, which currently provides financial services in France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. Services include dated payments, e-invoicing, business and expense management. The company consists of a diverse international team of 150 full-time staff.
