EcoSync, an Oxford, UK-based provider of an energy solution for commercial buildings, raised nearly £1M in Second Seed funding.

Backers included RO Capital Partners, the Oxford Innovation EIS Growth Fund, and Richard van der Knaap, angel investors Steve Headington, and Bruce Melizan, EcoSync’s Chairman. The remainder of the funding was raised via Crowdcube.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the development of its energy solution, expand to other sectors beyond higher education and grow its AI, sales, and marketing functions.

Led by CEO Nick Pledge, EcoSync is a startup that provides building managers with control over the heating of rooms on an individual basis, considering different occupancy levels and needs, whilst also allowing users to adjust temperatures via QR codes available for each room. The company now looks forward to expanding into new sectors beyond its initial focus on higher education properties, bringing its energy saving benefits to other commercial buildings such as offices, schools, and hotels.
