Dandelion Energy

Dandelion Energy, a New York-based residential geothermal company, raised $70M in Series B1 funding.

The round was led by LENX, and NGP ETP, with participation from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, NEA, GV, Collaborative Fund, and Building Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to continue its expansion in retrofit and new construction markets and to invest in a broader range of products capable of serving more customers and geographies.

Led by CEO Michael Sachse, Dandelion Energy helps homeowners free their homes from fossil fuels via a geothermal heat pump system that offers wifi-enabled monitoring. By making geothermal heating and cooling systems accessible and affordable for modern homeowners, the company is working to mitigate climate change with renewable technologies that decarbonize homes.

The company recently reached its 1,000th geothermal installation.
