Kneron, a San Diego, CA-based full-stack edge AI company, raised $48M in Series B funding.
The round was led by Horizons Ventures, with participation form LITEON, ADATA and Foxconn, as well as the family office of a major Taiwanese financial institution.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
Led by CEO Albert Liu, Kneron develops full-stack hardware and software products for AI applications. Its reconfigurable solutions resolve problems faced by edge devices running AI—latency, security, and cost––thereby enabling AI everywhere. Over the past year, the company saw significant new customer wins spanning multiple verticals including smart vehicles, smart homes and smart cities. Customers include the likes of Garmin, Dessmann, Gree, OFILM, AAEON, Advantech, and Quanta.
