Workist, a Berlin, Germany-based deep-tech startup applying deep-learning technology to document processing, raised €9M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Earlybird Venture Capital, with participation from 468 Capital, LEA Partners, and another.vc.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth, and expand operations and development efforts.

Co-founded by Tim Wegner, Alexander Müller, and Fabian Brosig, Workist provides organisations of all sizes with an automation platform to ease and speed up the error-prone B2B transaction processes, based on PDFs, Excel spreadsheets, e-mails and faxes. Its flagship product, called WorKI, is an intelligent document processing tool that leverages advanced artificial intelligence to process those unstructured data for corporate sales teams.

The solution integrates with popular ERP and CRM systems.

Founded in 2019, the startup currently serves over 50 customers including Pepsico and Deutsche Bahn.
