Neutronpay, a Vancouver, BC- and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam-based startup that enables consumers and businesses to send and receive payments on Bitcoin’s Lightning Network, raised $2.25M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Hivemind Ventures with participation from Republic, Cavalry, Ride Wave, Studio, Iterative, Fulgur Ventures, Bill Crowley and Lisa Shields.
The company intends to use the funds to help with additional headcount across various departments, with a focus on further development of enterprise APIs, soon to be rolled out mobile consumer app, sales & marketing and compliance.
Founded in 2018 and led by CEO Albert Buu and COO Malcolm Weed, Neutronpay is the first Lightning company with an initial focus on Vietnam’s 100m person population, with additional countries to follow throughout South East Asia.

- Neutronpay API: Businesses can easily connect via API so they can leverage our Lightning infrastructure to accept payments and send payouts.
- Neutronpay Mobile App: Consumers can now accept, send, and spend over the Lightning Network, whether for the sale of in-person goods and services, ecommerce, cross-border remittance or simply to pay a friend back for lunch.
