Zilliz, a San Francisco, CA-based vector database company, raised $60M in Series B funding.
The round was led by Prosperity7 Ventures, with participation from Temasek’s Pavilion Capital, Hillhouse Capital, 5Y Capital, and Yunqi Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to expand both engineering and go-to-market teams.

This fully managed offering is currently in private preview for early access on Zilliz Cloud, available by invitation to customers for testing and feedback before becoming more broadly available. The long-term vision for Zilliz Cloud is to be a fully managed database-as-a-service (DBaaS) that provides an integrated platform for vector data processing, unstructured data analytics, and enterprise AI application development.
The company’s technologies and products enable over 1000 organizations worldwide create AI applications in various scenarios, including computer vision, image retrieval, video analysis, NLP, recommendation engines, targeted ads, customized search, smart chatbots, fraud detection, network security, new drug discovery, and much more.
