Think Bioscience Raises $17M in Seed Funding

Think Bioscience, a Boulder, CO-based synthetic biology company focused on developing small-molecule therapeutics that target difficult-to-drug proteins, raised $17M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Innovation Endeavors and Xora Innovation, with participation from AV8 Ventures, Buff Gold Ventures, and LiquidMetal Ventures, as well as returning pre-seed investors Xora, Wireframe Ventures, and Axial VC.

The company will use the funds to expand its development efforts.

Led by Dr. Jerome Fox, cofounder and CEO, Think Bioscience is using living systems to guide the design and assembly of new medicines. The approach to drug discovery combines applied microbiology, enzymology, and computational science to develop small-molecule therapeutics against elusive targets. The company is focused on a several therapeutic areas, including oncology, autoimmune, and metabolic disease.     

Think is a spin-out from CU Boulder and is a client company of Innosphere Ventures’ incubation program.
