Somalytics Closes Seed Funding

Somalytics

Somalytics, a Seattle, WA-based nanotechnology startup, raised an undisclosed amount in Seed funding.

The round was led by IP Group with support from WRFCapital.

The company intends to use the funds to expedite their move to mass manufacturing as well as their continuing research and development efforts and team growth.

Led by CEO Barbara Barclay, Somalytics is a nanotechnology startup that commercializes a patent-pending carbon-nanotube paper composite (CPC) capacitive sensor, which is a technology developed by University of Washington researchers in collaboration with CoMotion. Somalytics’ eye, gesture, touch and fluid monitoring sensors are miniature and highly sensitive to the human body.

The technology is expected to be applied across categories such as eye tracking, consumer electronics, wellness monitoring, safety applications, the Internet of Things, health and wellness, and transportation.
