Old Street Digital, a London, UK-based institutional asset manager bringing active, fundamental research-driven portfolio management to crypto, closed a $2.8m Seed funding round.
The round was led by Draper Associates with participation from Plassa Capital and prominent venture capital and angel investors across Europe, Asia and the U.S. as well as senior executives from the U.K. Asset Management industry.
Led by Paul Ridley, CEO, Nic Basson, Chief Operations Officer, and Gary Clarke, Chief Investment Officer, Old Street Digital combines experience from “traditional” asset management space with the nascent crypto asset class to create unique investment products for institutional investors seeking exposure to this fast-growing industry.
The first fund launches this quarter and the firm expects to open another in Q4.
