Clean02 Carbon Capture Technologies, a Calgary, AB-based carbon capture technology company, raised CA$2.75M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Regeneration.VC, with participation from Export Development Canada, Duke Street Investments Inc., TIRI Group, and Local Investment YYC Cooperative.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and expand operations.
Led by CEO Jaeson Cardiff, CleanO2 is a carbon capture technology company that manufactures proprietary hardware to capture fugitive carbon emissions and upcycles the sequestered byproduct in cleaning products and fertilizers. Its patented carbon capture units called CarbinX convert CO2 captured from natural gas heating system exhaust into stable carbonates. CleanO2 leverages the sequestered output, in the form of pearl ash, to produce “made with captured carbon” products for consumer and commercial markets including soaps, shampoos, detergents, other cleaning products, as well as fertilizers.
