Charles, a Berlin, Germany-based conversational commerce platform for brands and enterprises across Europe, raised a $20M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Salesforce Ventures with participation from Accel and HV Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to further expand its operations from Germany into key European markets and targeting larger enterprise clients.
Founded in 2020 by former McKinsey E-Commerce Lead Andreas Tussing and Artjem Weissbeck, former founder and CEO of +50M$ brand Kapten & Son, Charles enables merchants to provide conversational marketing and commerce experiences by seamlessly connecting chat app APIs like WhatsApp with systems like Salesforce, Shopify and many more.
