Kami Vision, a San Jose, Calif.-based computer vision company that provides artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to SMBs and consumers, raised $10 million in financing.

East West Bank provided the financing.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach across both the B2B and B2C markets.

Led by Yamin Durrani, CEO, Kami Vision is an edge-focused computer vision artificial intelligence (AI) platform for businesses, which is device-agnostic and brings elevated intelligence to remote, security and IoT cameras. The company currently has more than 4 million customers in more than 100 countries, including Fortune 100 companies.

In March, the company unveiled four new technologies including Video Verification, the Kami Cloud VMS, and Person, Vehicle and Animal detection.

Over the past 12 months, Kami Vision has nearly doubled its headcount to 125 people from 10 different countries and is expected to add even more people to its roster this quarter.
