Inspectiv Closes USD8.6M in Series A Funding

Inspectiv

Inspectiv, a Los Angeles, CA-based cybersecurity company, closed an $8.6m Series A funding round.

The round, which brings total funding to more than $16m, was led by StepStone Group with participation from Fika Ventures, Freestyle and Mucker Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to scale its ML platform.

Led by Ryan Disraeli, chief executive officer, Inspectiv is a vulnerability detection platform that combines intelligence from crowdsourced security testing and proprietary vulnerability scanning to help companies continuously identify, remediate, and protect against security threats. As Inspectiv researchers identify new vulnerabilities, the platform incorporates and automates that detection for future monitoring, allowing companies to benefit from the network effect of the large arsenal of highly valuable threats, as well as freeing up researchers to focus on finding more complex and targeted threats. Customers range from early stage startups to enterprise organizations.

Disraeli will work closely with founder and executive chairman Joseph Melika, who continues to spearhead product strategy, drawing on his domain expertise of 20+ years in the field including roles at Viacom and Verizon.

Other key new hires include:

  • Karen Nguyen as Chief Revenue Officer.
  • Ray Espinoza as CISO.
  • Ross Hendrickson as VP of Engineering.
