Wellbees Raises $2.2M in Funding

Wellbees, a Turkey-based provider of a SaaS employee wellbeing platform, raised $2.2m in funding.

The round was led by led by 212, with participation from Mindshift Capital, Doha Tech Angels, Assist Ventures, and Sarus Select Capital. 212’s Maher Hakim joined the Wellbees board.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its expansion in the UK and other international markets as well as to establish a Data Science Team.

Led by founder Melis Abacioğlu, Wellbees provides a platform allowing employees to gain better habits and therefore contributing to their better lives. The platform covers all eight aspects of wellbeing: mental, physical, spiritual, social, environmental, occupational, intellectual and financial. The company, which recently launched into the UK, is creating a data team that will help on building algorithms that makes personalised wellbeing suggestions to individuals, providing more sophisticated choices and recognising patterns as well as offering HR departments more ideas and recommendations around their employee wellbeing trends.

By also building local “teams on the ground”, Wellbees will strengthen its value proposition and will also have dedicated, native language customer success teams along with marketing and sales team members to support the company’s growth.
