Abnormal Security Raises $210M in Series C; at a $4B Valuation

Abnormal Security, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an AI-based cloud-native email security platform, raised $210M in Series C funding at a $4 Billion valuation.

The round was led by Insight Partners, with participation from Greylock Partners and Menlo Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate AI platform innovation to protect their customers and continue their growth in Europe, Asia and Japan.

Led by CEO Evan Reiser, Abnormal Security provides a cloud-native email security platform that leverages AI-based behavioral data science to stop socially-engineered and email attacks that evade traditional secure email gateways (SEGs). The platform delivers inbound email security, internal and external account takeover protection, and full SOC automation.

The company protects more than 5% of the Fortune 1000 and numerous notable companies including Xerox, Hitachi Vantara, Urban Outfitters, Groupon, Royal Caribbean International and Auto Club Group-AAA.
