Fresco, a Dublin, Ireland, and Zaragoza, Spain-based provider of a smart kitchen platform, raised $20M in Series B funding.
The round was led by Instant Brands, Vorwerk, and a third that will be announced later as part of a new partnership.
The company intends to use the funds to build an improved experience for the connected kitchen, expand its workforce and invest in improvement in its digital platform and related applications.
Led by CEO Ben Harris, Fresco provides a technology platform that brings appliances, home cooks, and recipes together. Partnering with appliance makers like BOSCH, Electrolux, GE Appliances, Instant Brands, Kenwood, LG Electronics, Panasonic, and Thermomix, Fresco provides the KitchenOS, which combined with an app, allows consumers to interact with their kitchen through whatever interface or appliance they choose.
