Serena Ventures Raises $111M First Fund

Serena Ventures, a San Francisco, CA-based early stage venture capital firm, raised its $111m first fund.

Founded in 2014 and led by Serena Williams and Alison Rapaport Stillman, Serena Ventures aims to ignite “change by investing in opportunities that make the everyday lives of everyday people better.

The new fund, which follows angel activities which generated a portfolio with 13 unicorns and 6 exits, aims to continue the firm’s strategy of powering early-stage startups focused on “improving our daily lives through innovative products and services.

The vehicle has already invested in such startups as Zigazoo, Solo, ShoppingGives, Nestcoin, Lolli, Infinite Objects, Foody, Fiveable, Chatdesk, Susu, Bunch, Calico, Bitski, among others.
