Key, a Toronto, Canada-based real estate technology company, raised $11M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Plazacorp, N49P Ventures, Red Jar Capital, TSV Capital, and Moderne Ventures, and and other investors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its portfolio to include single-family homes and townhomes.

Founded in 2018 and led by CEO Rob Richards and president Daniel Dubois, Key is a real estate technology company that developed an all-digital, on-demand homeownership platform. With Key’s patent-pending model, renters can become homeowners via a model enabled by property owners allowing owner-residents to contribute as little as 2.5% of the value of their home, without needing to qualify for a mortgage.
