Fishtail, a NYC-based provider of a solution that allows for freight forwarders to offer financing to their customers within minutes, raised $4.5m in seed funding.
The round was led by Thursday Ventures, with participation from Rackhouse Ventures, Amara Ventures, and project44 CEO Jett McCandless and Chief Growth Officer Jason Duboe.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.
Led by CEO Marc Held, Fishtail provides a data-driven, scalable solution that allows for freight forwarders to provide financing to their customers within minutes – either by arranging extended payment terms through the financing of freight, or by financing the goods themselves that these logistics companies are transporting.
