Certificate Hero Raises $4.5M in Second Seed Funding

Certificate Hero, a Dedham, Mass.-based provider of a platform for brokers to issue and manage certificates of insurance (COI), raised $4.5 million in its Series Seed II funding round.

The round was led by RRE Ventures. As part of the round, Raju Rishi from RRE Ventures joined the board of directors. Raju and RRE have previously led investments in startups reinventing other insurance services industries.

The company, which has raised $6.5m to date, intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by Michael Yanoff, CEO, Certificate Hero provides a SaaS solution that allows insurance brokers of all sizes, and their customers, to deal with the complexities associated with certificates of Insurance.

The COI management platform uses an AI-driven contract parsing to review insurance requirements and then leverage agency management system connectivity to automate the process of issuing certificates. By utilizing machine learning technology, Certificate Hero assists processors in consistently delivering more reliable certificates.

Certificate Hero checks all the boxes and is currently preparing to launch with its first Top 10 broker this spring.
