Droppe, a Finnish startup building a connected European industrial wholesale market by linking European industrial buyers to European manufacturers, raised €2.2m in seed funding.

The round was led by Lifeline Ventures and joined by angel investors Ilkka Paananen (CEO & Co-founder of Supercell) and Miki Kuusi (CEO & Co-founder of Wolt).

The company intends to use the funds to expand its operations to Germany and further accelerate their growth in Sweden and Finland.

Founded in 2020 by Johannes Salmisaari, CEO, and and Henrik Helenius, Droppe is building an online marketplace that brings European industrial equipment manufacturers and industrial buyers together. Industrial buyers can bulk order products for food manufacturing and industrial manufacturing ranging from hairnets to aprons and protective gloves through the online platform. Droppe has reached €4M GMV and over 500 customers, completely bootstrapped.

The company’s online marketplace is already used by some of the biggest industrial key players and publicly listed companies in Europe. Currently, Droppe has over 30 local suppliers from the Nordics and EU.
