Arcion Raises $13M in Series A Funding

Arcion, a San Mateo, CA-based cloud-native data mobility platform provider, raised $13M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Databricks. Bessemer Vice President Sakib Dadi joining the Arcion board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by CEO Gary Hagmueller, Arcion provides a data mobility platform, which accelerates data mobilization across applications, traditional transactional databases, and cloud platforms through auto-scalable data pipelines and enables enterprises to move large data in real time.

Arcion already has hundreds of deployments across three continents mobilizing data from notoriously difficult transactional databases like Oracle, SAP and IBM, among others.

Additional features include patent pending “Read Once, Write Multiple” technology for faster, low-impact data replication, zero data loss architecture, fault tolerance, auto-scaling, and enterprise security features such as data masking and at-rest/in-flight data encryption.
