Talkiatry Raises $17M in Extended Series A Funding

Talkiatry, a New York-based in-network psychiatric care provider, raised $17m in an extended Series A funding.

Left Lane Capital made the investment.

The company, which had raised $20m in Series A funding in July 2021, intends to use the funds to continue to expand mental health services across the country with national insurance contracts.

The company also appointed Samson Walla as its Vice President of Operations. Walla joins Talkiatry from Uber, where he served as Head of Mid-Atlantic Rides and focused on national cost savings initiatives, product development, and New York’s complex regulatory environment. At Talkiatry, Walla will focus on expanding the current business model nationally, as well as expanding business lines.

Led by and Robert Krayn, CEO, and Dr. Georgia Gaveras, Chief Medical Officer, Talkiatry is a mental health care company that provides psychiatric care. It works with major insurance companies and Medicare to provide in-network care on an outpatient basis: Since its launch in April 2020, Talkiatry has provided over 70,000 visits.
