Shield Raises $15M in Series A Funding

Shield, an Israeli workplace intelligence platform for compliance teams, closed a $15m Series A funding.

The round was led by Macquarie Capital and OurCrowd with participation from Mindset Ventures.

The company will use the funding to expand its U.S. presence with a New York City office, further establish itself in markets throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific, and ramp up development of its end-to-end communications compliance platform.

Led by Shiran Weitzman, Co-Founder and CEO, and Ofir Shabtai, Co-Founder and CTO, Shield enables regulated financial institutions to detect market abuse, gain behavioral analysis, mitigate toxic workplace culture and automate surveillance over all employee communication channels, saving both operational and compliance cost. The platform applies advanced Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing capabilities throughout the entire communications lifecycle. Shield is specifically built for today’s digital work environment, where organizations face multiple risks, including financial crime, privacy and misconduct.
