Language I/O Raises $6.5M in Series A Funding

Language I/O, a Cheyenne, Wyo.-based multilingual customer engagement platform provider, raised $6.5m in Series A funding, bringing the total amount of funding raised to date to $12.1m.

The round was led by Omega Venture Partners with participation from Gutbrain Ventures, PBJ Capital, Golden Seeds, Michael Wilens, Tom Axbey, James Pallotta, and Eric Schnadig, as well as new investor Caruso Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Language I/O provides an AI-enabled language translation platform that allows customers to provide real-time customer support in more than 100 languages, ensuring that company-specific terms are accurately translated through its proprietary core technology. The software is currently focused on translation across all e-support channels including email, articles, chat and social messaging among others. It is accessible directly via API and integrates with all major CRMs, including Salesforce, Oracle and Zendesk. Customers include Constant Contact, Shutterstock, and CBS Interactive, among others.
