Greenlabs, a Seoul, South Korea-based agtech startup, raised $140M in Series C funding.
Backers included BRV Capital Management; Skylake Incuvest & Co. and SK Square. This investment brings the total raised to date to more than $176M.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its global expansion.
Founded in 2017 and led by CEO and Co-Founder Charlie Sanghoon Shin, Greenlabs is an AgTech company, having digitized the complete agricultural industry value chain from production to distribution. Its service offerings include the “Farm Morning” app, a smart farm system for produce growers; and “Sinsun Market” for enterprise buyers of fresh produce. The company – a member of Born2Global Centre – currently serves 500,000 produce growers via the app while the Farm Morning smart farm system has been deployed in 3,000 projects in Korea. Greenlabs directly sources fresh produce from the producers on the Farm Morning network and provides it to 10,000+ businesses via its Sinsun Market platform.
The startup has already expanded into China and Vietnam.
