Tamatem Games, an Amman, Jordan-based mobile games publisher, raised $11M in Series B funding.
The round was led by South Korean video game developer KRAFTON, Inc. with participation from Venture Souq, Endeavor Catalyst and existing investors.
The company intends to use the funds to:
- grow its business by bringing a wider selection of games to the Arabic speaking market,
- expand into more countries in the region, and
- launch a gaming academy to train, educate and elevate employment in the industry.
Led by CEO & Founder Hussam Hammo, Tamatem is a mobile game publisher in the MENA region. Launched in 2013 with the mission of reducing the massive gap in Arabic content available in MENA mobile games, Tamatem works with international game developers to localize and publish mobile games in the Arabic-speaking market. The company is leading the market with over 100 million game downloads, 1 million monthly active users and over 50 published games.
