Sysdig, Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based unified container and cloud security company, secured USD350m in Series G funding, which values the company at USD2.5 billion, bringing the total funding to USD744m.
The round was led by the Permira Growth Fund with participation from Guggenheim Investments and existing investors Accel, Bain Capital Ventures, DFJ Growth, Glynn Capital, Goldman Sachs, Insight Partners, Next47, Premji Invest & Associates, and Third Point Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate international expansion in Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and South America, double its workforce in 2022, develop its partnership program, and invest in an experience of unified multicloud security integrating execution, configurations, permissions and vulnerabilities.
Led by Suresh Vasudevan, CEO, Sysdig empowers organizations to secure the cloud by providing real-time threat detection to respond to execution threats, and continuously manage configurations, permissions, vulnerabilities and compliance for containers, Kubernetes and cloud services. The company partners with several major cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, Red Hat, and SUSE Rancher.
Sysdig has also added Karen Walker as Chief Financial Officer, and Paul Whitney as Chief Human Resources Officer.
