Clever Real Estate, a St. Louis IL-based online platform for consumers to find real estate agents, raised $8M in Series B funding.

The round, which brought total funding raised to $13.5m, was led by Cultivation Capital with participation from The Mortgage Collaborative (TMC) Emerging Technology Fund.

The company intends to use the funds to expand team and accelerate expansion into the mortgage vertical.

Led by Ben Mizes, CEO and Luke Babich, co-founder and COO, Clever Real Estate provides a platform for consumers to navigate their real estate journey with free tools, expert advice, and matches to local vetted service providers in all 50 states. The company operates a portfolio of online content brands that reach over 11 million readers with expert real estate advice and education and the nation’s largest discount real estate agent matching service.

This funding follows a record year as the company reached $4 billion in total real estate sold through its platform, pacing to sell over 6,000 homes in 2021. In 2022, Clever will grow its team from 75 to 200 full-time employees.
