Lifen Raises €50M in Series C Funding

Lifen, a Paris, France-based HealthTech startup, raised €50M in Series C funding.

The funding round was led by Creadev and Lauxera Capital Partners, with contributions from historical investors Partech and Serena.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its eHealth infrastructure on a large scale and to hire more than 200 employees in Europe over the next 18 months.

Founded in 2015, Lifen facilitates the roll-out of digital solutions to hospitals, doctors and patients. Since 2015, the company Lifen has digitized medical reports, based on proven technologies, fulfilling security requirements. This allows the company to guarantee:

  • Connection to health data: flow management in hospital information systems & artificial intelligence to structure health data;
  • Secure identity management: identity management application suite covering all types of identification and authorisation scenarios;
  • Distribution of solutions to healthcare stakeholders.

The company has established itself as a leading secure messaging service operator in France, with over 600 partner institutions. Lifen sends 2 million medical documents to 240,000 doctors each month. The company is now expanding these technologies to eHealth applications, allowing this sector to enjoy the value created by the company over the years.

Lifen, which aims to deploy its technology in over 1500 hospitals, with 200 eHealth solutions by 2025, currently has a staff of 160 people.
