Kodiak Robotics Raises $125M in Series B Funding

Kodiak Robotics, a Mountain View CA-based self-driving trucking company, raised $125m in Series B funding.

Backers included SIP Global Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Battery Ventures, CRV, Muirwoods Ventures, Harpoon Ventures, StepStone Group, Gopher Asset Management, Walleye Capital and Aliya Capital Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to grow autonomous trucking operations and to double employee headcount.

Led by Don Burnette, Founder and CEO, Kodiak Robotics is building and operating self-driving trucks designed to operate on highway routes for the freight industry. The company has developed an advanced technology stack purpose-built specifically for long-haul trucks.

Kodiak delivers freight daily for its customers between Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston, operating autonomously on the highway portion of the route.
