Elotl, a San Francisco, CA-based Nodeless Kubernetes Platform to run applications in the cloud, raised $5m in seed funding.

The round was led by Vertex Ventures US with participation from Essence Venture Capital, HearstLab, Telescopic, XYZ, Dan Scheinman, and CEO of LaunchDarkly, Edith Harbaugh.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to hire across departments, continue building the platform, and expand to multiple cloud providers.

Founded in 2016 by Madhuri Yechuri, CEO, Elotl provides a Nodeless Kubernetes Platform for DevOps teams to run Kubernetes applications in a cloud-agnostic and secure manner without managing servers or clusters.

According to a written note, within the last year, the company has expanded deployments by 5x, seen increased customer adoption velocity for CICD workloads, including cloud-native mobile application build and test, and joined the Mobile Native Foundation as a founding member.
