AutoFlight Raises USD100M in Series A Funding

AutoFlight, a Shanghai, China-based electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) startup which specializing in developing and manufacturing autonomous aerial vehicles, raised USD100M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Lukasz Gadowski’s Team Global. In conjunction with the funding, AutoFlight’s Gadowski joined AutoFlight’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds for international expansion as well as scaling cargo eVTOL production for customers.

Led by Tian Yu, founder, chairman and CEO, AutoFlight is an high-tech startup specializing in developing and manufacturing autonomous aerial vehicles by leveraging new technologies in aviation, new material, artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, and 5G. Autoflight also has a manufacturing capacity of 66,000 square meters in Dinfeng. With the recent completion of its V1500M’s maiden flight, the company is moving forward with additional flight tests, and plans to go into mass production and having the vehicle certified to fly by the year 2024.
