AnyDesk, a Stuttgart, Germany-based provider of remote desktop software, secured more than €60m ($70m) in Series C primary and secondary funding, which brought valuation to $660m.
The round was led by General Atlantic, with participation from existing investors Insight Partners, EQT Ventures and Possible Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Achim Berg, Operating Partner at General Atlantic will join the advisory board to support AnyDesk in further expanding into new markets globally.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop new products and scale its team.
Led by Philipp Weiser, Founder and CEO, AnyDesk develops a proprietary software solution that provides users with secure remote access and delivers remote support on any device running across all major operating systems.
The remote desktop software has already been installed more than 450 million times. The company is in more than 190 countries, with over 80,000 customers who use the software, including internationally renowned companies such as Bosch, McDonald’s and Google.
In 2022, AnyDesk plans to offer its business customers even more functionality with a particular focus on enterprise features and localization for improved ease of use in markets across the globe.
