Rhombus Systems, a Sacramento CA-based provider of managed physical security solutions, raised $10M in Series A funding.

The round, which brought total funding to over $20M, was led by Cota Capital with participation from MSD Partners, Lemnos Labs and Promus Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand R&D initiatives and build out the sales team.

Led by Garrett Larsson, CEO, Rhombus Systems provides smart security cameras and IoT sensors for organizations to understand physical spaces. They are today deployed in over 10,000 locations worldwide across many industries and organizations including school districts, healthcare providers, city governments, and Fortune 500 companies.

The company’s devices come online in minutes without any complex configurations and can be managed from a single pane of glass via the Rhombus Console. Users can access live video feeds, share footage, and receive AI-powered alerts from anywhere around the world through a web browser or mobile device to see, manage, and respond to critical physical security events in real-time.

Rhombus Systems is also backed by other investors including Uncorrelated Ventures, Portfolia, and individual investors including Michael Stoppelman (formerly of Yelp), Tim Lee (formerly of Sequoia Capital), Sharon Wienbar (formerly Scale Venture Partners), and Suresh Batchu (co-founder of MobileIron).
