Gretel.ai Closes $50M Series B Funding Round

Gretel.ai, a San Diego, CA-based provider of a Privacy Engineering as a Service platform and suite of tools for developers, closed a $50m Series B funding round.

The round, which brought total funding raised to date to $65.5m, was led by Anthos Capital, with participation from Section 32, and existing investors Greylock and Moonshots Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to advance the AI capabilities of its platform to support customer use cases in life sciences, financial, gaming, and technology industries and to grow its team.

Led by Ali Golshan, Co-founder and CEO, Gretel enables developers to synthesize, transform, and classify data with a suite of tools and APIs that aim to eliminate data privacy issues through safe data sharing. By applying advanced AI and ML techniques, the system generates accurate, private, and high-quality synthetic data of any product in its class to enable developers and data practitioners to implement intelligent, high-quality data privacy measures.
