Empower Semiconductor, a Milpitas, CA-based leader in Integrated Voltage Regulators (IVRs), raised $45m in equity financing.
The round was led by Mesh Ventures with participation from existing investors Samsung Catalyst Fund, Hallador and Regal I.
The company intends to use the funds to further accelerate the global expansion of its sales force and operational presence as well as the fund development of its integrated voltage regulator (Empower IVR™) semiconductor technology.
Led by Tim Phillips, CEO, Empower recently released its first generation IVR into mass production after nearly six years in development offering energy savings to data centers. IVR technology integrates dozens of components into a single IC increasing efficiency, shrinking footprints and delivering power with simplicity, speed & accuracy and with zero discrete components.
