APLYiD Secures NZD$7M in Series A Funding

APLYiD, an Auckland, New Zealand-based customer onboarding software provider, raised $7m in Series A funding.    

The round, which coincides with the official opening of APLYiD’s UK office in London in October, was led by Octopus Ventures with participation from Tribe Global Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to to support international growth, key hires, and platform expansion.

Led by Russell Smith, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, and Claudia Smith, Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder, APLYiD provides a compliant customer onboarding software platform which leverages technology, powered by biometrics, and a mobile web application. It is now used by organisations as diverse as law firms, car rentals, and remittance services. Among its broad client base, the company provides client onboarding to over 350 companies such as Western Union, Latitude Finance, Ricoh and Russell Mcveagh. The startup has offices in Auckland, Sydney, and London.

APLYiD also has offices in Sidney, Australia.
