Futures Factory Raises $2.5M in Seed Funding

Futures Factory, a French marketplace for selling sneakers, raised $2.5m in seed funding.

The round was led by Seedcamp and Stride with participation comes from the co-founders of Voodoo, Kima Ventures, RTP Global, along with technology, crypto, and fashion angel investors.

The company intends to use the funds to to build its product between September 2021 and March 2022.

Led by Nicolas Romero, CEO, and Alexandre Frih, CTO, Futures Factory is a marketplace for selling sneakers, that merges both the physical and digital worlds through Augmented Reality (AR) and NFTs. Its goals are to empower footwear designers, to improve the way people interact and consume sneakers, and to offer a sustainable demand-driven distribution model for footwear brands. The startup will also offer a new demand-driven distribution model for footwear brands, allowing them to sell virtual sneakers via NFTs to finance the production of physical ones.

Its mission is to be the primary sneaker marketplace for both digital and future physical sneakers by 2025.
