ClickHouse Raises $50M in Series A Funding

ClickHouse, a New York-based provider of an online analytical processing (OLAP) database management system, raised $50M in Series A funding.

The round was led by  Index Ventures and Benchmark with participation from Yandex N.V.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and expand operations.

Led by Aaron Katz, CEO, Alexey Milovidov, CTO, Yury Izrailevsky, President, Product and Technology, ClickHouse provides an OLAP database management system that allows users to generate analytical reports using SQL queries in real-time. The technology was first developed over 10 years ago at Yandex, Europe’s leading internet service corporation. It was initially created to power Yandex.Metrica, the second-largest web analytics platform in the world, and then was made available as an open source solution in 2016, adopted by industry-leading companies like Uber, Comcast, eBay, and Cisco.
