Batgroup, the parent company of Batmaid, a Lausanne, Switzerland-based provider of online cleaning services, raised €23M in Series B funding.
Investment company Aevis Victoria led the round.
The company intends to use the funds for its international expansion into 21 cities in 15 countries.
Led by Andreas Schollin-Borg, founder and CEO, Batmaid is an online platform that allows individuals to book a cleaning service. The company is part of Batgroup, a group that offers a 360° solution for all cleaning service needs: home cleaning, end-of-tenancy cleaning and commercial cleaning.
Since March 2021, Batmaid has also been offering a range of biodegradable cleaning products through its new Batmaid Club service, delivered directly to your home as part of a subscription. In June 2021, it also launched a pilot laundry and cleaning service Batmaid Dry in Lausanne.
The company currently employs around 200 employees across its Lausanne headquarters and Zurich, Lugano, Warsaw, Paris, Milano and Luxembourg offices, and 4,000 salaried cleaning agents who serve over 70,000 customers throughout Switzerland.
