v2food

v2food, a Sidney, Australia-based alternative protein company, raised €45m in a Series B extension funding.

The round, which brought Series B total funding to €92m, was led by Astanor Ventures, with participation from China’s leading e-commerce platform for services as a new strategic investor, as well as existing investors Huaxing Growth Capital Fund, Main Sequence & ABC World Asia.

The company intends to use the funds to bring its plant-based meat products to Europe and Asia.

Led by Nick Hazell, founder and CEO, v2food produces a range of plant-based meat products that enable consumers to make nutritious and environmentally friendly food choices. Made from legumes, the company’s products replicate animal proteins and include burgers and sausages that look, cook and taste like meat.
