Trifecta Closes $20M Series B Funding

Trifecta, a Sacramento, Calif.-based organic food delivery service, closed a $20m Series B funding round.

The round was led by Spring Lake Equity Partners (Plated, Signify Health), with participation from Data Point Capital, Raptor Group, and Hall Group. In connection with Spring Lake Equity Partners investment, Managing Partner Bob Forlenza will be appointed to Trifecta’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand the reach of its core fully prepared meal delivery services and its immersive digital offerings.

Led by Greg Connolly, CEO, Trifecta is a large organic meal delivery service which uses organic, gluten-free ingredients that are never frozen, and sustainably caught/grass-fed. The company, which offers meals in six categories including Keto, Paleo, Vegan, Vegetarian, Clean Eating, Classic Meal, and an A La Carte section, has developed partnerships with CrossFit, The PGA Tour, Mr. Olympia, Team USA Weightlifting, the Celiac Disease Foundation, and partners with the American Heart Association. The mobile application allows people to track their food and performance utilizing a food database of 7+ million food items. 

The company – which offers free shipping to all 50 states – is already profitable with an annual run rate north of $100M.
