Nifty Games Raises $38M in Series B Funding

Nifty Games, a Lafayette CA-based developer of quick-session sports games for mobile, raised $38M in Series B funding.

The round of $26M was led by Vulcan Capital with participation from March Gaming, Defy Partners, Courtside Ventures, Woori Capital, K-NET, Yes24, Steve Pagliuca, Speedwagon Capital, Brighton Jones and Gaingels. In addition, the company secured $12M in debt financing.

The company, which has raised over $50M since 2018, intends to use the funds to further grow its sports games line-up as well as investing in top-tier development staff to deliver gameplay for global sports fans.

Founded in 2018 by gaming industry veterans Jon Middleton and Pete Wanat, Nifty Games provides quick-session competitive mobile games with licenses from the National Football League (NFL), National Football League Players Association (NFLPA), National Basketball Association (NBA), and National Basketball Player Association (NBPA).

The company’s premier game NFL Clash, already available in select markets worldwide, launches in the United States this year.
