Litmaps, a Wellington NZ-based provider of a research software platform, raised $1M in seed funding.
The round was led by Icehouse Ventures, with participation from Quidnet Ventures, Angel HQ, K1W1, Exponential Founders Fund, and several strategic independent angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate international adoption of its research platform.
Led by Dr Kyle Webster, CEO, and Axton Pitt, CTO, Litmaps is a research platform which allows subject matter experts such as scientists and engineers to discover science faster. The system combines interactive citation maps, modern search tools, and models of a researchers’ existing knowledge to create an efficient research discovery experience to help accelerate scientific breakthroughs.
Over 30,000 researchers worldwide, from public research organizations to development teams in science-heavy companies, have already used the platform since its launch in November 2020.
