Claros Technologies, a St. Paul, Minn.-based advanced materials company, closed a $5m Series A funding.

The round was led by 3×5 Partners. 

The company intends to use the funds to expand the applications of their technology at the scale required to address problems for which the world needs immediate solutions.

Led by CEO and Co-founder Michelle Bellanca and Co-founder Abdennour Abbas, Claros Technologies is an advanced materials company that enables the development of safe, and sustainable products with zero toxic waste. It is able to utilize nanoparticle growth technology to substantially impact multiple significant markets, including the rapidly growing PFAS remediation market and the functional textiles space with their antiviral and antimicrobial ZioShield™ technology.
