Zeal Capital Partners Closes First Fund, at $62.1M

Zeal Capital Partners, a Washington, DC-based venture capital firm focused on investing in early-stage tech-enabled businesses across the financial technology and future of work sectors, closed its first fund, at $62.1m.

Backers in Zeal Fund I included Truist Ventures and PayPal, as well as Synchrony, Skoll Foundation, Hampton University Endowment, Bank of America, Foot Locker, RockCreek, Society for Human Resource Management, Southern New Hampshire University and Gary Community Investments, among others.

Led by solo general partner Nasir Qadree, Zeal Capital Partners is a venture capital firm focused on charging economic mobility throught Inclusive Investing™, which enables it to invest in diverse management teams that are reimagining the building blocks of wealth, from education to employment to financial health.

Since its first close in October 2020, Zeal has invested in five technology companies.
