Spotivity Raises $1M in Seed Funding

Spotivity, a Chicago IL-based location-based technology, social media and engagement company, raised $1M in seed funding.

The round was led by CA Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to grow, expand operations and its business reach.

Launched in 2018 by Montana Butsch, Spotivity is a tech startup that combines location-based technology, social media engagement, and a University-designed recommendation algorithm to create a marketplace platform that allows teens to find meaningful afterschool engagement while also supporting program providers to lower liability, improve participant engagement, and drive recruitment.

Key current clients include the Illinois Math and Science Academy, Chicago Scholars, and the Sports Philanthropy Network.
