GathR Virtual Studios Raises $2.7M in Pre-Seed Funding

Avatars with live hologram faces meetings

GathR Virtual Studios, Inc., a Miami FL-based startup enabling 3D, digitally-visualized, hybrid workspaces, raised $2.7m in pre-seed funding.

The round was led by Ken Moelis, Charles Fabrikant, Hope Taitz and Alberto Peisach.

The company intends to use the funds for the hiring of an executive team and the further development of the next gen technology.

Founded in 2020 by Chief Technology Officer Jaime Lopez and CEO Kenneth Landau, GathR Virtual Studios powers 3D, digitally-visualized, hybrid workspaces where avatars, made via unique hologram technology, navigate training venues and trade show floors. First applications attracting enterprise customers include digital job simulations for retail as well as for showrooms and tradeshows where 3D assets and products are displayed in the detail-rich digital settings.

The company plans to raise a seed round this Fall for the purpose of both deepening customer experience.
